This is a new
avenue for me, although one I had always been interested in.
I had wanted
a custom plush of my character, Tal, for some time. However I could not find a
plushmaker who had an open
slot whenever I looked, or they were too expensive
for me, or they didn't offer quite what I wanted.
I thought I would make
my own. But without a sewing machine, any money with which to buy one, and very
little skill or time for hand-sewing, I had to get creative.
The process
is unusual - basically I take a teddy bear and cover it with fur, adding new
eyes, a nose, hair, a tail and new ears where I need to. The result is a large
plush for a lower price, highly customizable and able to fit into many types of
doll/bear clothing, including that sold by Build-A-Bear.
While these plushes are soft, they aren't really durable for playing with or a
lot of cuddling.
NO, I do not offer a SPH
option.

Plushes
start at $50. This gets you a 16" plush animal,
customized any way you want. I will include a set of clothing.
Example - This is
a plush I made for myself. She has a prosthetic tail, snout and ears, and very
soft hair that can be styled, albeit gently. She was my first effort and I have
improved on my methods since
then.
